Privacy policy

The ProPhorma app and the prophorma.com website

In short: we don't collect any data. Everything you enter stays on this phone.

  1. Controller. The controller under the GDPR is [publisher name and address – to be completed]. Because we don't process your personal data on our servers, in practice we have no access to it.
  2. Data on your phone. Workouts, body measurements, height, goal, supplements and settings are stored in the app's local database. We don't send them anywhere and we don't create user accounts.
  3. No analytics, ads or tracking. The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking tools and shows no ads.
  4. Content downloads. When “Download new content” is on, the app downloads files with exercises, programs and articles from the server. Requests contain no identifiers. Like any web server, the server technically sees the connection's IP address; server logs are turned off or don't store IP addresses. You can turn the option off in Settings → Network.
  5. Notifications. Reminders are scheduled locally on your phone and don't go through our servers.
  6. Purchases. Content packs are one-time purchases in Google Play. Google handles the payment under its privacy policy; we don't receive your payment details or your Google account details. The app only asks Google Play which packs are bought and keeps that list on the phone so the packs work offline.
  7. Partner links. Links to gear shops in “My gear” are marked as partner links and come with the content pack. They open in the browser only when you tap them, and the app adds no data about you to them. On the shop's site, the shop's privacy policy applies.
  8. Sharing. You send a result card or a challenge link yourself, through the app you choose. The link contains only the challenge name and the result you send.
  9. Your rights. You are in full control of your data: in Settings → Your data you can export it to a file, import it or delete it permanently. Deleting the app also deletes all data.
  10. System backups. If your phone has backups turned on (e.g. Google), the system may include the app's data in them. Such backups follow the system provider's rules.
  11. Contact. Privacy questions: [contact e-mail – to be completed]. You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

This website

prophorma.com uses no cookies, analytics or scripts. It loads nothing from other servers: images and styles come from our own server and the text uses your system fonts. Like any web server, it technically sees the connection's IP address.

Disclaimer

We are not doctors, physiotherapists or dietitians. ProPhorma does not give medical advice, does not diagnose and does not replace a consultation with a specialist.

The app helps you plan and log training, body measurements and supplement intake. Calculator results (e.g. estimated one-rep max, circumference ratios) are approximate and for information only.

You use the app at your own risk. Choose loads that suit your abilities and stop exercising if you feel pain, dizziness or shortness of breath.

If you have a chronic condition, are pregnant or postpartum, or are recovering from an injury or surgery, talk to a doctor or physiotherapist before you start exercising or taking supplements.

Supplement articles describe the state of research and the level of evidence. They are not a recommendation to use them. Before taking supplements, especially together with medication, talk to a doctor or pharmacist.
